Synthetic nonapeptide, sequence WAGGDASGE. Planned as a 5 mg listing to the same standard as the rest of the catalogue: lyophilised powder in a crimp-sealed glass vial, held in UK stock, dispatched tracked on working days with UK delivery included in the price.
DSIP is a synthetic nonapeptide: nine amino acid residues with the sequence WAGGDASGE (Trp-Ala-Gly-Gly-Asp-Ala-Ser-Gly-Glu). We catalogue it under the acronym by which it is universally listed and identify it by sequence and registry number rather than by any expansion of the name. Its identifiers are CAS 62568-57-4, molecular formula C35H48N10O15 and a molar mass of approximately 848.8 g/mol for the free peptide. The material we plan to list is made by chemical synthesis.
The planned listing is 5 mg fill weight as lyophilised powder in a crimp-sealed glass vial. Fill weight is the mass of powder in the vial; net peptide content is a separate figure that depends on the salt form and residual water, as set out in peptide purity versus net peptide content.
DSIP is not yet on sale. It is listed so that laboratories in the United Kingdom can see what is planned and register interest; when it is in UK stock we send one email to say so, with the price, and nothing else. When it goes on sale it will be supplied on the same terms as every other material here: the price shown will be the total payable with UK delivery included, dispatched by Royal Mail Tracked 24 in unbranded packaging, with an order placed before 14:00 on a working day leaving that day where stock allows. Dispatch detail is on the shipping page. We supply research organisations, educational and commercial laboratories, and individuals purchasing for legitimate research.
DSIP will be supplied lyophilised, for storage at −20 °C protected from light. The N-terminal tryptophan is the side chain to protect: it is oxidised by light and air more readily than any other residue in the sequence, which is why “protected from light” is not a formality here. The sequence has no methionine or cysteine and no asparagine or glutamine; its aspartate (Asp5) is the site of slow hydrolytic chemistry in solution. All of it is dormant in a dry, sealed, dark cake; see lyophilised peptide storage and stability.
DSIP is listed by NorthScientific strictly for laboratory research use. It is not a licensed medicine and has not been evaluated or approved by the MHRA; it is not a food, cosmetic or supplement; and it is not for human or veterinary consumption in any form. We provide no dosing, protocol or outcome guidance of any kind, and nothing on this page, in our guides or in correspondence should be read as such.
No. NorthScientific lists DSIP for laboratory research only; it is not for human or veterinary consumption in any form. We give no dosing or protocol guidance, and nothing on this page should be read as such.
We list it now so that laboratories can register interest, and we email once, when it is in UK stock and on sale. No date is promised: it goes on sale when supply meets the same standard as the rest of the catalogue, and the price is published then.
Trp-Ala-Gly-Gly-Asp-Ala-Ser-Gly-Glu, written WAGGDASGE in one-letter code: nine residues, free acid at the C-terminus, no disulfide.
Because the material is identified unambiguously by its sequence and CAS number, and we describe every material by what it is rather than by any name that describes something else. The acronym is the catalogue name.
Not necessarily. The planned 5 mg is the fill weight of lyophilised powder in the vial; the peptide share depends on salt form and residual moisture. We do not publish an analysis for this material, so read the figure as fill weight.
